Staged Reading of MERCY STATION with The Vagrancy

This weekend, I performed with The Vagrancy in a staged reading of MERCY STATION, a new play by Abbey Fenbert. It was a wonderful experience to be a part of the Blossoming Series at the Sacred Fools Theatre, and to be directed by Darcie Crager! I played the part of Pigeon, a head-in-the-clouds character who is part of a competition with two others, Hawk (played by Vaneh Assadourian) and Dip (played by Kiki Milner).

From BroadwayWorld:

Synopsis: At the outskirts of the Established Hospitable Zones, there is a station. Inside, the competitors, Hawk, Dip and Pigeon, fight for the Big Prize. The Elders tally their points and a Smuggler brings news from the station across the street, which wants to go to war.

And as they fight, and tally, and war, the Fool watches.

Mercy Station is a violent, absurd and probing piece about the costs of both knowledge and ignorance, and the distorted forms our longings take when the world does not make room for our better selves

It was an honor to be a part of the first live reading of MERCY STATION, and I can’t wait to see the final piece!
